Literary Update And A Note About Ed Jr.

Hello everyone! It’s a pleasure to let y’all know that the re-release of “Sex, Dead Dogs, and Me” on Champagne Books has taken another step forward – we started out with an ebook version and now I’m pleased to let y’all know that SDDAM is now being offered as a paperback again – you can check it out here:

There’s one other thing I need to mention, a big thing. I think most of y’all who know me, and certainly anyone who’s read my books knows that my number #1 hero of all-time was my dad, Ed Jr. I hate to even say this, and many already know, but for those who don’t Ed Jr. passed away this past June 8th. He’d been ill for a long time, and I can safely say the Good Lord taking him was a blessing. I can also safely say that losing him has been something that’s been very hard to deal with. Just know that he loved and appreciated everyone who read about him and enjoyed his exploits. He never did understand why people enjoyed stories about him, and I think that quality was one reason that he was so special. He was a good man and was the funniest storyteller I’ve ever known. I’ll never be half the man he was, but for me it’s honor enough to have been able to get his stories out to so many people. Just know that he appreciated it, and that I loved him more than I can ever say. He was the most excellent dad.

Will there be anymore Juliette Journals or Ed Jr. type stories? Right now I doubt it, it’s just hard to get in the “mood” to write them again. Writing them may be tough, but I rejoice in knowing he, my mom, Ed Sr., Dog, Miss Lily, and many others close to me are together again. In the end, that’s all that really matters, I so much want to join them all again someday.

Again, thanks to all of you who’ve read about my dad and enjoyed him – every time you do so, it kinda makes Ed Jr. live again, and for that I’m grateful.

  1. How very exciting and rewarding news for you about SDDAM. I am however very sorry to hear about your dad, Ed Jr, it’s never easy to lose a parent. It’s obvious that you adored your father, what an honor to have a dad who will remain alive in your books, and how nice that he has been your inspiration to write.
Again, congratulations on SDDAM being re-released in paperback.
